I cut a lot of wood for the winter heat, The hard wood trees give me these kind of surprises now and again. Scroll down to May 14, 2012 for a few more. It always makes me smile when I find one.
Still up to my neck in projects… not much time to write. Trying to get that house built… concrete contractor, floor plans, financing, Not sure if I am going to buy a kit and put it together, or just build from scratch. Checking pricing both ways. MENTAL STRESS! LOL Hope all is good with you.
Lol cute.
I have several such pieces… a turkey, fish, birds, a mask. It is amazing the things I am finding when cutting wood.
Really? That’s remarkable. I thought you did it.

Love it, Steve! 🙂
Thanks Lauren. I have several cuts of wood with nature’s art exposed. I’ve learned to pay attention when I’m cutting fire wood. 😀
It looks a bit like a khoala to me. Impressive on what one can find in nature, good job!
Thanks. I have several more “slices of nature” I’ve found while cutting fire wood… fish, birds. I pay more attention when I cut nowadays. 😀
Amazing – how nature creates art 🙂
I see that like me, you’ve stopped blogging somewhat.
I’ve since restarted in 2016.
Cheers!
