Hi All –
Been VERY busy getting in the food gardens, cutting fire wood for this winter, plumbing in my kitchen sinks, tractor work, planting trees; been working on Pat’s cabin doing insulation, some electric, framing, etc. No free time right now for reading or writing. No one is on ignore, just too busy with chores at 2 homes. Hope to be back soon. 😀

spread eagle with no control
I feel the gentle
tickle of advances made
breathing harder now
as my body’s invaded
mind screams for ending
ants filling all spaces.
As smoke permeates
memories of prior times
summer BBQ
(Yup… I do like the BBQ!)
A long road travelled
many stops along the way
each one offering a new road to travel
on life’s roadmap.
Each choice, a new road selected
a one-way street with no turning back.
Choices good… a smooth road;
choices bad… pot holes and dust
always more choices to be made
good or bad unknown.
I have travelled many miles… my road bringing
rainbows as well as black of night,
blue sky offset with gray,
full belly with hunger pangs familiar,
sunshine better than the cold,
happy and outgoing challenged by depression,
fancy free replaced by obligations demanding.
Always searching for the best in life…
Finally I am home.

Tough Mudder at Mount Snow, VT, check this out!! Way too much fun… but a butt kicker!! This video has most of the obstacles. 10 miles, 26 obstacles; up the mountain,, down the mountain, up the mountain, down the mountain, ice water, electric shock, mud, walls, ice and snow, nets, fire and smoke, oh ya… did I mention ice water, mud, and up the mountain, down the mountain, and lots more. And now… I ARE A TOUGH MUDDER!! 😀
